Kansas Flag History !

Kansas is nicknamed “The Sunflower State,” so it is fitting that they have a sunflower on the Kansas State flag.
The state seal reflects what was happening in the state during the early pioneering days.
Covered wagons are moving west, passing a farmer plowing his field, a steamboat is sailing on the Kansas river and Indians are hunting buffalo.
The thirty-four stars mean that Kansas was the thirty-fourth state to join the union.
The state motto means that the people of Kansas do not let difficulties stop them from doing their best.
