Montana Flag History !
The name of the Montana state flag is easily identifiable by the large gold lettering, MONTANA.
The state seal in the center shows some of the state’s beautiful scenery and reflects the pioneer activity at the time.
A brilliant sun rises over mountains and forest and the Great Falls of the Missouri River. The state motto at the bottom of the seal, in Spanish, means – Gold and Silver.
The name Montana is the Spanish word for mountainous. The design of the seal dates back to 1864. Montana is sometimes called – The Treasure State.
