Wyoming Flag History !

Wyoming was the first state to give women the right to vote and hold public office. It is from this fact that it receives its nickname, the Equality State.
The two men on the Wyoming state flag represent cattle ranching and mining in early times. The words – Livestock, Mines, Grain, and Oil – tell where Wyoming’s wealth comes from today.
The two dates, 1869 and 1890, tell when Wyoming organized its first government as a territory of the United States and when it became a state.
The white border stands for purity and the red one which stands for the blood of early pioneers and the original Native American population.
